Enter Into Rest

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
— Hebrews 4:3

The works are finished.

We wait and wait. We think God is not listening, not answering. But, it is already done.

God knew your problem before you knew your problem. And He is inviting us to rest in Him while we wait to see what has already been set into motion. Verse 14 tells us that we have a great High Priest that passed into the heavens.

We have a Holy committee that is working on our behalf as sons and daughters of God.

And yet, we worry and we stress and we manipulate and we struggle.

I wonder what wonders we would see if we would just stop, ask, and trust.

If we would learn to come not fearful and stressed before the throne, but having the boldness to know that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants our lives to work to His glory. Let us know that His grace is sufficient and Christ has suffered all things on our behalf.

"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:15-16

To Ponder:

Do I come to the throne with fear of disappointment or with boldness knowing it is already being perfected by my Great God?

Father God,

I want to bask in the kind of peace and rest that comes from the courage and boldness of believing in You and Your work on my behalf. I know that if I truly believed how much You love me, and how much you have in store for my life, I would never doubt and always be encouraged.

For You are forever Great and Forever Good.

Let me see Father. Let me get a glimpse of Your glory in my life today. Help me to believe. I rest in You.

In Jesus' name amen.
