How Much Fruit?

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
— John 15:8

How can we praise and glorify our Father in heaven with our lives?

By bearing much fruit.

True discipleship is fruit bearing discipleship. Jesus takes us as we are, but not to leave us that way. He wants us to be changed into His image. To produce the fruits of His Spirit that we may be a witness to the world.

The Lord desires our hearts, but also our hands and feet to be about our Father's work. We can only bear good fruit by being connected, in consistent communication with, the True Vine- Jesus Christ. We abide in Christ by reading and obeying His Word, listening to His voice, and being baptized with His Spirit.

Exhibiting a Christ-like character, witnessing, praising God and giving thanks are fruits that we may manifest through The Spirit working in our lives.

We have a responsibility to represent the Author and Finisher of our faith. When we fail, we can seek forgiveness and rest knowing that God's grace is sufficient. Our walk is a continual process of edification and sanctification.

To God Be the Glory.

To Ponder:

What fruits are manifesting in my life? How may I allow God's Spirit to work through me?

I desire to be a representative of You and Your kingdom. I want to hear, "Well done good and faithful servant." Guide me with Your Holy Spirit that I may bear much fruit and be called Your disciple. Not for my glory but for Yours. May I never be prideful seeking my own, but reflect Your light.

When I fail, I ask for forgiveness and mercy. Change me into your image as I behold You through Your Word.
