I Will Fight For You

The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
— Exodus 14:14

God promises that we don't have to fight our own battles.

The children of Isreal were caught between an Egyptian army pursuing after them from behind and a sea before. There was nowhere to go. Caught in the middle with no way out. Or so it seemed.

Have you ever found yourself caught between a rock and a hard place? A circumstance where there seemed to be no way out?

With their usual MO, the children of Isreal complained as we also so often do. But, God is not bound by seemingly unpassable circumstances.

Let's move a moment backward to verse 13,

"And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever."

Oh how quickly our circumstances would change if we would just be still and allow God to fight our battles. We could gain victory and never see them again.

Whatever battle you are facing today, lift up your voice to God. Then stand still and hold your peace. See what He will do.

To Ponder:

How may I stand in stillness today to see the salvation of the Lord?

Heavenly Father,

You have promised to fight for me. I hand all my battles and circumstances over to You. For when there seems to be no way out, You can part seas. You can wash over my enemies and stop them in their tracks. You can make a way when there is no way.

Thank You, Father, for being my Warrior.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
