Is There An Absolute Truth To Be Found?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
— John 14:6

The truth.

We live in an age when people want to believe that there is no absolute truth. You decide what is good for you and I will decide what is good for me.

But, Jesus said I Am the Truth.

Without Jesus as the absolute Truth, we are just a bunch of cells and organisms going through life with no direction or purpose. Without that Truth the story of where we came from, what we're doing here, and what meaning our lives have is all gone.

Without truth, we live lives filled with lack of purpose and hopelessness. Hmmm, seeing a lot of that in our world today?

Jesus is the way. Not just to heaven but also to living fulfilling lives while on earth. He gives us hope and purpose. Someone and something to live our lives for that is greater than ourselves.

The Word of God says where there is no vision the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18) Lawlessness causes death. Eventual physical death, but spiritual and emotional death too.

Without truth, without purpose, there is no point in life except to exist. But, we have hope because no matter what the world tells us, there is an Absolute Truth. That Truth is Jesus. And not only that, we can find that Truth, we can know that Truth. And have Life.

"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13

Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life.

The Way to the Father, the Way to purpose and meaning, the only Way to true fulfillment.

To Ponder:

Am I just wading through life with no real purpose and vision?

Jesus has more for you. Ask Him.

Prayer:

Jesus,

Thank you for being The Way, The Truth, and The Life. For giving my life purpose and meaning. For having a greater vision for me than I could ever imagine. For turning my mess into a message, and bringing some order out of the chaos that is in this world.

Thank You that no matter what the world is saying, as it drowns in hopelessness, I have You and Your Holy Word as the answer, an anchor to my soul. I praise You as Truth and Life.

Amen
