When we seek God with all our hearts, He will show us the way. The path to life. We can experience joy in His presence, no matter what is going on around us, because of His great love and mercy.
The Psalmist says he will bless the Lord for giving him counsel and instruction. He says "I have set the Lord always before me."
We cannot expect guidance, joy, and blessings from the Lord when we don't have our hearts inclined to Him.
Maybe you have heard,
"Don't say God has been silent when your Bible has been closed."
David warns us in this chapter that the sorrows of those who hasten after another god will be multiplied. God's Word, His commandments, and instructions, are for our good.
They are not meant to be burdensome restrictions but protection and the way to greater joy and fulfillment in our lives.
At God's right hand, JOY for evermore.
Has God been silent in my life? Have I really been listening?
I know your instruction is for my good. You are the Author of All Wisdom and only through time with You, time in Your presence, can I receive the fullness of joy. I incline my heart to You. Fill me with joy and show me the path of life.
In Jesus name, Amen and Amen.
