But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
— Matthew 9:22

Our agenda is not always the Lord's agenda. He knows what is important and when.

Jesus was on His way somewhere. It was a critical mission.

He was headed to raise a girl from the dead. The daughter of a ruler. Someone in power that could help His ministry. But, on the way, He was touched. A touch of His garment, but also His heart. He was moved by this woman with an issue of blood who had so much faith.

"And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole." Matthew 9:20,21

12 years she had experienced this issue. Yet, she believed that Jesus could heal her in an instant.

Jesus had compassion on her and honored her act of faith.

"Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole."

There she stood, whole in the presence of Jesus, after 12 years of struggle. When His children come to Him in faith, Jesus will stop right in the middle of a journey, move obstacles, to speak a word of healing and comfort. What a powerful lesson and testimony of the tenderness of our Savoir.

Jesus will make you whole.

To Ponder:

Am I exercising my faith enough to reach out to Jesus?

Father God,

Thank You for the life of Your Son that showed us Your love in the flesh. That You are the God of healing and wholeness. I reach out to You in faith for healing Father. Make me whole in You.

In Jesus Name, Amen
