Sons And Daughters Of God
The family of God.
When we are born again in Christ we come into God's family. Isaiah 43 tells us that God will gather His sons and daughters from the ends of the earth.
Verse 10 says,
"Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen"
Chosen to be part of the family of God. Like all families, we have strivings and trouble with each other from time to time. But, we must remember our Heavenly Father, that He is no respecter of persons and loves each of His children the same and endlessly.
We have a need in our hearts to have a place where we belong, a family. Not everyone is born into the family they long for or desire. But, all who desire, and accept Jesus as their Savior, gets to be part of God's family.
God's family is filled with children at different stages of development, with different experiences and personalities. There are newborn Christians and those who have matured in their walk with Christ. But, no matter the stage, we are all ever growing and learning.
Just like we understand that children need patience as they grow, we need patience with one another to grow together as a family in Christ. No matter what our natural, earthly family looks like, we have brothers and sisters all over the world. We all have the same Heavenly Father,
"And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:18
Let's create a safe space for one another to grow and lift up each member of our spiritual family that we may present God's love to the world together.
How can I help God's family grow and grow in love?
Lord, thank You for being my Father, for inviting me into Your family. Help me to help Your family grow. Help me to be loving and patient with each of Your children that we may support one another and create a loving place where You are glorified.
Forgive me for my impatience with others who are finding their way as you have forgiven me when I have lost mine. We are all learning and growing in You. Help us to grow together in Your grace.
