White As Snow

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
— Isaiah 1:18

The King Of The Universe invites us to come and reason with Him. He is not afraid of our questions and struggles.

While the world invites us to just consume information and be told what to think, Jesus says Come let us reason together. He reveals to us our sins and helps us understand when we are on a path to destruction. When we reason with Him and turn from our ways to His, He cleanses us.

The Maker of all things has all the wisdom and is willing to share with us. Though He invites us to reason with Him, we must remember that He is the Teacher and we are the students. We must trust Him and humbly learn of Him and from Him. Knowing that ultimately He has the last say for His ways are right. Our ways lead to destruction, but His to eternal life.

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 14:12

Reasoning with God requires us to admit our need for Him. We cannot pretend that we are already white and have no need of cleansing. We must accept that His ways alone are perfect. In His perfection, He purifies us and upholds us when we come to Him.

"As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him." Psalm 18:30

Tried and True.

To Ponder:

How may I come respectfully and humbly before the Lord today so we may reason together, so I may learn?

Prayer:

King of All Kings,

Teach me Your ways for Your ways are tried and true. Any wisdom and cleansing that I need in my life come from You and You alone.  Give me understanding. I want to be made white as snow. Show me where my life is falling short and purify me, Lord. Give me clean hands and a pure heart. I have need of You. May Jesus' blood wash over me.

Thank You for Your love and mercy. Amen.
